Approved sketch
We made a mosaic commissioned by LITOKOL to present the characteristics of the company's products. In our case, it was an epoxy compound that served as an assembly glue and grout.

There were several options from which it was possible to assemble a picture - customers considered smalt, glass tiles and stained glass. As a result, it was decided to use all three materials in one work.
The mosaic had to be assembled in 14 working days - the finished mosaic had to be close to the original in brightness and colorfulness of shades.

How was the selection of the material
and the assembly of the work?
It was important for us to get closer to the original work of Gustav, but at the same time to make the mosaic so that it looked harmonious.
To highlight the figures on the background, we took several shades of gold, the background is slightly darker, the figures are lighter in hue. Gold was selected with a noble copper shade, so as not to look bright and flashy in the finished work.
We matched the gold with light silver and black stained glass to give contrast to the image.
The color field in the lower part of the panel was assembled from a mixture of glass mosaic and stained glass, patterns on the clothes of the figures were laid out in the same way.
The most painstaking part was the faces, arms and legs of the figures - the sections were so small that the module used on them did not exceed 5 mm in length. Faces and hands were collected from smalt.
The glass tile was laid out with a double reverse set on the adhesive film face up.

The mosaic assembly process

Several types of roller wire cutters were used to work with the material: Italian reinforced wire cutters, stained glass wire cutters, conventional disk wire cutters.
First, the background areas, clothes and the rest of the environment were collected, after the faces, arms and legs of the figures. The smalt was additionally pinned in thickness to be combined with the rest of the materials in the work.

The mosaic was mounted on epoxy glue, then epoxy grouting of the seams was performed and the panel was framed for further transfer to the customer.
